Safety Care and Keeping of Your Dough Bowl Candle 

Dough Bowls are handmade of raw wood which gives each one its own unique shape and size. Because they are natural, any of our bowls may contain irregularities such as scratches, knots and even small cracks. To maximize your enjoyment please follow these simple instructions.

• Do not burn Dough Bowl Candles to the exposed wood at the bottom. Use a spoon to gently remove residual wax for additional use.
• Wash your Dough Bowl with liquid soap and allow it to dry completely before repurposing. Now you have a new lovely vessel with endless possibilities!
• To lengthen the life of your Dough Bowl Candle keep the wicks trimmed to less than ¼” at all times. A shorter flame will allow a longer burn time for your candle, help prevent smoke and possible overheating that can cause your Dough Bowl to crack or combust.
• Never leave any candle burning unattended.
• For best results burn no longer than 3-4 hours, allowing the wax to completely liquefy across the top before extinguishing. Always remember to trim the wicks before relighting.
• Candles with multiple wicks tend to burn faster and create more heat than single-wicked candles. Additional precaution is highly recommended.
• Always keep candles on a hard, flat, nonflammable surface or tray in the event of breaks, leaks or spills. 
• Keep all candles away from furniture, draperies, carpets, paper and all other flammable materials that could catch fire in the event of heat, smoke, breaks, leaks or spills. 
• Do not burn candles in a drafty area. This can cause the candle to burn unevenly and shorten the life of your candle or cause a fire.
• Never leave any candle burning unattended.
