We get questions all the time asking, “What in the world is a Cat Cafe?” so we have compiled some FAQs here to help you!
Q: WHAT IS Entangled Cat Cafe?
A: Entangled Cat Cafe is a completely unique, one-of-a-kind, interactive entertainment experience where cat enthusiasts can enjoy playing with cats who are healthy, spayed/neutered, and available for adoption. In addition we offer food, drink and purrchandise for the cat and cat lover.

A: We are located at 6 Court Street in Downtown Watkinsville, Georgia 30677.

Q: DO I NEED A RESERVATION AT Entangled Cat Cafe?
A: Purrrchasing your individual admission ticket in advance is highly recommended for entering the cat space to play and interact with cats. Since we cannot guarantee availability for Drop-ins, we recommend you call or check our Reservations Page for available appointment slots and current admission charge.
No reservation or fee is required to enter the observation and market space! Stop by anytime and see what's up with our cats through our large picture window, shop in our market, and enjoy a meal!
Q: DO I NEED A WAIVER?
A: Yes, anyone who enters the cat lounge is required to have a waiver on file. When booking you will be prompted to fill out the waiver automatically. Waivers have to be signed by a parent or legal guardian for people under 18.
Walk-ins can use a paper waiver or fill out our online one here.
Q: WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY WITH CATS?
A: Your admission cost to visit the cat lounge allows us to house adoptable cats in a relaxed community environment where their authentic personalities can shine.
Q: WHAT DOES IT COST TO ADOPT A CAT?
A: The fee for adopting a kitten under one year old is $150, and the fee for adopting an adult cat is $100. You can also adopt a second kitten for half price or a second adult cat for free if the adoptions are completed at the same time since most cats prefer having a playmate and companion. There is also a $10 card processing fee for all adoptions.
Q: WHERE DO THE ADOPTION FEES GO?
A: All adoption fees go directly to our partner, the Athens Area Humane Society, to cover the costs of spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccines. Entangled Cat Cafe doesn't receive any portion of the adoption fee.
Q: WHAT ARE DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS USED FOR?
A: Entangled Cat Cafe uses donations and sponsorships to purchase food, treats, litter, toys, and other daily needs for the adoptable cats currently residing at the cafe.
Q: WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR CAFE FOOD?
A: All our food is sourced from local favorite businesses such as Carithers Catering & Culinary Confections, Kiki's Bake Shop, Satisfied Foods, The Olive Basket, Publica Coffee Roasters, and 1000 Faces Coffee.
Q: IS THERE A BEST TIME TO VISIT Entangled Cat Cafe?
A: Mornings are a great time to visit our cats! Many people don't know that cats tend to be more active, playful, and alert in the morning just after breakfast. We would love for our customers to take advantage of this frisky time! Although we're open from 9AM to 7PM, the best playtime is between 9AM and 11AM. So make your reservation online and plan to grab a scone, Calico breakfast cookie, Biscatti, or yogurt purrfait and a cup of coffee, and enjoy a morning with cats.
If you're looking to relax and enjoy nappy hour, the purrfect snuggle time is afternoons. We offer a variety of pawsta salads, charCATerie style grazers such as chicken salad, fruit and cheese, pimento cheese & crackers, and other grab-and-go options, along with delightful treats and gifts for cats and ailurophiles (cat lovers).
Our busiest days are Friday and Sunday. If you want more undivided attention from the cats, weekdays are the best option. We're closed on Caturdays to allow the cats to rest.
Q: WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF Entangled Cat Cafe?
A: Because CATS!!!
Our concept is meant to change the narrative around cat lovers and deliver a PAWsh experience with cats where you can Play, Shop, Eat, Drink, and Adopt! It's a celebration of live and cat themed fun to benefit cat welfare and cat enthusiasts!
Q: DOES Entangled Cat Cafe REALLY BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY?
A: YES! We are partnered with local rescues and collaborating with local businesses around our community to bring the very best products, services, talents, and culture that Athens-Oconee has to offer, all under one roof!.
Q: WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I GET TO Entangled Cat Cafe?
A: You will enter the observation and market space (on the end of the building) where you can partake from our selection of food and drink, including beer and wine, and shop our wide variety of fun cat themed merchandise for cats and cat enthusiasts.
And YES, you can take all those items, even the consumables, into the two (2) other interactive spaces where the cats live and play.
But NO, the cats cannot come into the market space where we keep the food and drink. (Not because the cats are unsanitary; it's mostly because they are greedy.)
Q: IS THERE A CAT CAFE ETIQUETTE I SHOULD OBSERVE?
A: YES. Cats are very social, playful, and affectionate creatures, and we hope you will shower them with all the love and attention they want! We do ask that you always be mindful to interact with them respectfully, remembering that you are the guest in their home.
Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN CAT TO Entangled Cat Cafe?
A: No. Because our cat space is so much fun, your cat will be jealous and refuse to go back home.

Q: IS Entangled Cat Cafe THE ONLY CAT CAFE?
A: No. There is a rich history of cat cafes all around the world. Originating in Japan, each one has created a comparable model to play with cats and have a cup of coffee. They have gained popularity because CATS!, and because they focus on supporting their cat community through adoption in every locale. More recently they have made their way to America. Enter Entangled Cat Cafe…where we are setting a new standard for the typical cat cafe, raising the bar to deliver a PAWsh experience in person and through our online store at www.entangledcatcafe.com.
