Purrecious Makamae

For our last featured cat of the month for 2025, Entangled Cat Cafe is excited to introduce Makamae, your purrecious new best friend! Makamae means precious in Hawaiian, and this sweet 2-year, 8-month-old girl truly lives up to her name. Independent yet deeply loving, Mae Mae enjoys her people and will happily keep you company. Her favorite daytime activities include birdwatching and soaking up the sun from a cozy window perch—she dreams of a catio or screened porch to make her paradise complete.

Playful and adventurous during the day, Mae Mae transforms into a snuggle queen at night. She loves curling up on your lap and, when bedtime comes, she’ll politely ask to slip under the covers to sleep blissfully by your side.

Mae Mae came to COFAS in early 2024 with two newborn kittens and proved to be an incredible mom. One kitten, Kallis, had special needs, and thanks to the Entangled community’s support, he received the care he needed. Mae Mae now deserves her own happy ending.

She gets along well with other cats but would also thrive as a solo kitty—especially if her new family indulges her evening cuddle routine. She’s a dainty girl who isn’t food-driven, except when it comes to Churu treats! Tear open a tube, and she’ll come running with the cutest chirps, as if saying, “Don’t forget me!”

Her beautiful eyes reflect both her resilience and her gratitude for the comforts of home. After nearly two years waiting for her forever family, this tender, sweet girl deserves the love she’s been dreaming of. Could Mae Mae be your purrrecious companion?
