Pumpkin Patch landed in foster care with Circle of Friends Animal Society after being returned from her previous home—not because of anything she did wrong, but simply because the environment wasn't the right fit. She had been adopted from COFAS as a kitten into a household with large dogs, and those big, energetic pups made her nervous and anxious. When she first arrived back with COFAS, she was understandably cautious. She spent a lot of time hiding under the bed, taking her time to feel safe again.

But Pumpkin Patch is a resilient girl! With patience, love, and a dog-free environment, she's blossomed into a confident, affectionate companion. She's even navigated a foster home transition with grace, meeting new people and new spaces without fear. Now, she greets the world with curiosity instead of worry.

Once Pumpkin Patch decided her world was safe, her true purrsonality emerged. She's an attention-seeking sweetheart who absolutely adores her people. She'll roll around at your feet asking for pets, purring happily as you stroke her soft fur. She loves being held and cuddled, making her the ideal lap cat for someone looking for genuine affection. Give her a catnip toy, and you'll witness her playful side as she rolls around on the ground, completely content.

While Pumpkin Patch could thrive as a solo cat, she has a special bond with her brother, Scarecrow, who was featured as our June cat of the month. The two complement each other beautifully—Scarecrow is the outgoing leader of the pair, and Pumpkin Patch happily follows his lead. Adopting them together would give you double the love and allow them to continue the companionship they've built.

Pumpkin Patch would do best in a quiet, calm home where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. She's not suited for homes with dogs, as unfamiliar animals can still trigger her fear response.
